Arch Corriher

Arch was an enlisted radar mechanic in the 8th Air Force during World War II, and retired from the Air Force Reserve as a Lt. Col. in 1978. He attended college after the War, attaining degrees in electrical engineering (N.C. State University and Caltech) and math (Georgia Tech), along with a knowledge of physics. He worked as a research engineer for the Georgia Tech Research Institute for 34 years and wrote or edited hundreds of technical reports and proposals on radar, electronic warfare, and technology assessment. His research has involved extensive use of computerized databases, both government and commercial. He is the author of chapters in several radar books. Since marrying Shirley in 1978, Arch has supported her with food-related research and has edited her material for speeches, articles, and books.
